Not even Acropolis will be left standing

People’s history is the most precious thing they ‘ve got! What is the duty of each leadership? To protect it at any cost. Especially during the hard times we live in, Greece is being constantly hammered both inside and outside of the borders.

Even the most na?ve, my dearest friends, would expect that one of the most significant piece of our history, would be properly guarded. I am talking about the temples of antiquity, with its precious treasures. Especially those of Ancient Olympia, which all people honor and worship. The Old Museum, the Museum of the History of the Olympic games, was targeted by thieves! Judging by their moves, it seems that someone else had ordered the hit. The robbers were well informed about the lack of staff and the poor security measures. Where was that? In Ancient Olympia! The employee of the Museum was immobilized right after opening the Museum. Using a hammer, they broke the display cases; was an alarm installed and if yes, why wasn’t the police notified on time? Right from the very beginning, they were looking for specific pieces. The golden wreaths and the stamp collection. They did not manage to find them and stole instead 65 ancient bronze, pottery items and a gold ring.

The incident followed the robbery of the National Gallery, which took place a few weeks ago. And even this particular hit should have alerted the security authorities For those who know how to interpret such “messages”.

“We are doing this for the common good. We will cut you a piece of the pie.” One of the masked robbers allegedly told the employee.

To the ministry and the Greek Police: Wake up! Because, my dearest friends, if the recession and the poverty our people are experiencing, makes them reach the point that robbing our own history seems a vital solution, then not even the Acropolis itself will be left standing.
